COVID-19 // WHO I AM QUARANTINED WITH

My heart breaks as I type this as I know so many have been so deeply impacted by COVID-19. To anyone who has gotten sick or has lost a loved one, i am so sorry and I am sending you all the healing vibes and love that I can.

Being in New York City has been scary to say the least. The streets are empty, the shelves are barren, and it’s probably the worst time not to have hot water or a working stove or oven…

Yeah.. you read that right.

Not that a world-wide pandemic ever comes at a good time, COVID-19 couldn’t have come at a weirder time for me.

My sister and I just moved in together. Woo! This was a huge step for me as I have been living in my friend’s apartment for the past seven months - I am so grateful for her - when my ex and I broke up I desperately needed to get out of our shared apartment and she saved the day!!! If you are reading this, thank you Cassie!!

While this is all exciting, the apartment doesn’t have a working stove or over - apparently they set it up wrong or something - and we don’t have hot water. Because of COVID-19 NO ONE can come fix it…

It’s becoming a bit of a problem.

Fortunately, I started dating someone a few months ago who lives on Long Island and who does have a working stove and oven and hot water… hallelujah!

Now, I am sure you are thinking… “wow you’re just going to leave your poor sister behind?!”

YOU BET YOUR ASS I AM!!

jk jk we are typically a packaged deal and for the record I DID offer for her to come stay at his place with US but for someeeee reason she didn’t want to do that…. haha also jk I do not blame her. The last thing anyone would want to do is be quarantined with their sister and her new mans.

Fortunately she lives primarily off of sushi delivery and mac n cheese so she is chillin and gets the entire place to herself while I am at his place on Long Island.

I am hoping to go back and forth but as the virus continues to worsen it is seeming less and less likely that that is a possibility since he is still working and my sister isn’t entirely comfortable with us coming in and out of our apartment. Which makes sense! I don’t blame her AT ALL - I don’t entirely feel comfortable either!

It’s all a lot to digest and process and something completely new for us all.

For now, I am writing this from his apartment and taking it day by day.

If you want to see a few things I have been up to and how I am keeping myself busy, you can check out my TIKTOK where I post some ridiculous videos, but I also share some DIY skin care remedies and churro recipes! Enjoy! xx
