HOW TO ACTUALLY START LOVING YOUR BODY AND CULTIVATING POSITIVE BODY IMAGE

  1. get naked. When you don’t love your body or feel good about it, the easy way to avoid it is by covering it up. Take off your clothes. Dance around your house naked. Sleep naked. Make breakfast naked. The more naked you are, the better!

  2. stop with the self deprecation. Months ago I posted a promise I made to myself; instead of using self deprecation I only use self aggrandizing jokes. It’s made a huge difference.

  3. post-it’s. on every mirror. I’ve placed little post-it’s in all my mirrors that say positive affirmations and self love notes. When you look in the mirror and want to say something negative, you’re reminded to lead with love.

  4. prioritize self care. This isn’t the same for everyone, so find what works for you! My faves: journaling, meditating, bubble baths, candles, massages, yummy lotions and oils, getting all dressed up or chillin in my sweats.

  5. working out because you love your body, not because you hate it. When you move your body because you hate how it looks, it doesn’t feel good. Try giving yourself a self love pep talk before your workout and cheer yourself on during it. You’ll be so proud, versus making it feel like a punishment.

  6. ONLY follow empowering body positive babes that make you feel good! unfollow any account that makes you feel insecure or bad about yourself.
